Prayer For Gratitude

An important part of our Christian walk is to meditate on God’s goodness. Between the hustle and bustle of life, we can easily get swept up in our routines. That can include our prayer life. After coming back from a long trip and picking up all the work that needs to be done, I’m reminded that prayer for gratitude is very much needed. Why is that? How can we think of the countless ways that God is good to us? No matter what we’re facing and going through in our lives, we can count on God to reveal beauty and serenity in the smallest things.

So today, let’s just carry an attitude of praise. Let us be grateful and meditate on the goodness of God. Let’s have a prayer for gratitude. Whether you have everything or only a few of the things that we will give thanks for, let’s take the time to appreciate them.

Prayer For Gratitude

Heavenly Father, thank you for this time. If I look back on the years and challenges that you’ve to lead me through, I’m ashamed that I tend to forget your goodness through it all. You have never left me or forsaken me as you have promised. You have to lead me through the fires and empower me beyond what I ever thought was possible.

When I get busy or am facing a new challenge, I can lose sight of you. The proximity of my problems seems to be so much bigger in my eyes because I forget how big you are. Help me to see the truth. Build up my faith so that I can be bold to face whatever it is that you allow for me to face.

Today, I want to take a moment to thank you deeply. Not just to give you the honor and praise that you deserve but to also remind me how good you are. You are good for every good blessing you have given me. I want to thank you for all of these on my gratitude list.
